Well designed game but with flaws
Pros Captures the wasteland and fallout theme perfectly. Appeals to fans of the series Quests open to everyone Cons Randomness of winning or loosing. Often times you loose more than you win Not entirely fun, some enemies can leave you near death in a single fight But the two biggest downfalls are, leveling up is supposed to make you feel you are getting stronger to handle the wasteland enemies but you are not. That same lv 3 deathclaw would leave you with a few hp as he did as if you started the game. The game while challenging feels unbalanced with some weapons and quests. Lastly, once you have played the games a few times (2-3) the choices to make in future games becomes apparent, likewise doing quests is now a regular routine to get the better rewards. Bottom line the 159 event cards can be easily learned to remove the option of choice with what gives the best reward and with few tiles and enemy types the board and enemy randomness is very limited, the gameplay then will not differ much from game to game as only 4 senarios to play. It is not worth a buy but playing it 1-4 x would be enough to appreciate the game.

A Different Fallout Experience
Game play is easy to follow: explore, move, search and sometimes dice brawling. If you are looking for a first person shooter, this is not it. If you are looking to explore and experience a narrative based in the Fallout 3 and 4 setting, give it a try. FFG makes a quality product and this has it. Pricing could be better for 5 miniatures, cards and cardboard, but this is about average bye modern standards. The value for this box of Fallout story and game play is excellent.
