The Shikarri Nomad Crusaders may be one of my favorite non-Deluxe enemy packs so far. I absolutely love the theme and flavor of these guys and the way they interact with player's darkstone or lack-thereof is one of my favorite bits about them.

A nice addition to the huge variety of enemies. Nice sculpts and also include cards for otherworlds. the only thing I miss is the painting guide, but you have a great example on the back of the box.

Cool enemy pack.
Models are typical FFP models, so they're pretty decent for tabletop games, cards same good quality as all their other stuff. The thing that is neat about these crusaders, is that while they hunt down any darkstone to remove it from the world(s), if they run into your heroes, and you don't have any darkstone, mutations, or corruption points, they won't fight you and instead give you supplies (in the form of a loot card) because they consider you to be pure and fighting the good fight. This even happens in the middle of combat, if you somehow get rid of all the above items during the battle, they will stop fighting you because they have 'cleansed' you of the taint and hand you some supplies and be on their way. It's just a cool concept and I like that you don't have to fight them if you meet the requirements.

Nomad are superior in most ways!
These Shikarri Nomad Crusaders are a great addition to the Shadows of Brimstone series (Swamp and/or Ancients) and are a game mechanic to attack the Dark Stone and Mutant afflicted. A bit of a matchup of alien soldiers and experts who use a seek and destroy special rule along with hunting corruption. These guys are fanatics so do not be surprised! The figs are very nicely done and are more obvious to assemble (compared to the Lost Army boxed set which is a great supplement, but some of the Santa Anna infantry had arms with no obvious slots so they were a fiddle to build). These paint up nicely and if the gamer chooses to paint the figs in the manner presented by Flying Frog, I would recommend doing a test figure first. The reason is that some of the figs when painted have a look of a Smoke Jumper Fire Fighter (red helmet, off-brown/buff coat, etc) and might not be a look preferred. A blue and yellow scheme worked well for figs that I painted for our most recent game. As always with these small boxes, there are the six figs, the double sided card with normal and brutal side (abilities increase with the later - in case one has not played the game previously, this increase includes initiative, damage, health plus damage - there is also elite random roll for increased threat). Included a small pack of cards and the counters and the pack is complete. These guys have a different function in the game and worth the price!
