The steady stream of fire from the reliable Vickers medium machine-gun proved its worth on the Indian frontier, and continued to halt enemy attacks in Malaya and Burma.

The belt-fed, water-cooled Vickers gun is an extremely reliable weapon, able to fire continuously for hours without jamming. Firing up to 500 rounds per minute, the hail of lead it throws out makes frontal assaults a deadly proposition for any unarmoured enemy.
