Mörk Borg is a pitch-black apocalyptic fantasy RPG about lost souls and fools seeking redemption, forgiveness, or the last remaining riches in a bleak and dying world.

Who are you? The tomb-robber with silver glittering between cracked fingernails? The mystic who would bend the world's heart away from it's inevitable end? Confront power-draining necromancers, skulking skeletal warriors, and backstabbing wickheads. Wander the Valley of the Unfortunate Undead, the catacombs beneath the Bergen Chrypt, or the bedevilled Sarkash forest. But leave hope behind - the world's cruel fate is sealed, and all your vain heroic efforts are destined to end in death and dismay. Or are they? Mörk Borg is a complete game in the OSR genre, that can be played as is or be picked apart for use in your own homebrew. The rules are easily made compatible with most of the editions of the world's largest role-playing game.

Inside this book, you'll find:

• A brief look at this dying world. From The Two-Headed Basilisks' gothic cathedral in Galgenbeck and Blood-countess Anthelia's limestone palace, to the fields of death in Graven-Tosk and the barren wastes of Kergüs

• The Calendar of Nechrubel, that decides the speed of the world's demise

• 20 occult Powers that let you bend reality, and just as many magical catastrophes for when you disastrously fail

• Optional rules which brings more depth to the game. Omens let you turn bad luck into a slightly better one. Classes with unique traits and quirks, and tables that will bring life into your character

• 12 creatures to be murdered by

• Game master tools such as tables for corpse plundering, occult treasure, adventure sparks, dungeon generating and other devilry

• The introductory dungeon crawl scenario Rotblack Sludge, where you investigate a forgotten part of the Shadow King's enormous ruin palace. Cannibal warlocks, poison peddlers from beyond the void and hungry gutworms await

Mörk Borg is constructed by Pelle Nilsson (Ockult Örtmästare Games) and Johan Nohr (Stockholm Kartell).

Not suitable for those under 16 years of age.

OSE but black metal deadly

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I only have room for one evil hobby company, and I buy miniatures. If you're concerned with wotc digital dierection, or would like more of that old school adventure it's a great source book

Pure Metal in Book Format

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mörk Borg will be among my top ten RPGs of this decade, but we've still got a loooooooooong ways to go. This book is pure black metal compressed into book format. Violence, apocalyptic prophesies from Basilisks, unholy scriptures, the whole magnificent mess. You owe it to yourself to get a copy of this Typeset exercise (or something like that) which my fellow cashier at my store said 👏😂

Can’t wait to dig in

Quality of the book is outstanding. They really did a great job with the presentation. Loving the brevity of the setting and rules. Still working on setting up a game but have quite a few folks wanting to play just based on me describing it to them.

Great single RPG book ever

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Sometime you read something so inspired that it just makes run out and make your own art. That is just what Mork Borg did. I have not made a lot of RPG content myself but after spending two days reading this I instantly was making my own tables and classes and backgrounds. It is a great read that is laugh out loud in places. Even if you aren't into RPG's it is worth it just as a work of art.

The hype is real! Mork Borg is a small, 8-1/2 x 6 hardback (ribbon bookmark within) with everything you need to play its dark fantasy, rules-light setting. This is one of the most stunning presentations of a roleplaying game out there -- which, in the world of kickstarted RPGs, is really saying something. It's like a contemporary zine meets your 1980s notebook drawings, meets a high end print run. The game is very simple to get going -- though as a rules-light rpg it will rely heavily on the GM's and players' imaginations. Honestly, though, even if you never play the game, if you are a fan of roleplaying games, if you spent hours with your friends at your junior high library rolling up characters when you were young, if you are wanting to get your current friends to try something different than D&D, if you want to marvel at the roleplaying game as art form, this is a title you want to keep.
