Citadel Layer paints are high quality acrylic paints that provide you with a huge range of colours and tones to choose from when you paint your miniatures. They are designed to be used straight over Citadel Base paints (and each other) without any mixing. By using several layers you can create a rich, natural finish on your models that looks fantastic on the battlefield.

All Citadel paints are non-toxic, water-based acrylic that are designed for use on plastic, metal, and resin Citadel miniatures.

Very useful color

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This white-grey has a ton of uses and is highly versatile. For a lot of French historical uniforms in the 18th century to sail undercoats for Black Seas to edging on WWII vehicles, it is not as stark as true or off-white and yet not so grey as to be dull. Great color and highly recommended.

One of the best grey/whites out there.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

It's pricey, sure. But I would argue this is one of the smoothest grey/white I've ever worked with. Haven't found anything with a matching consistency.

With Citadel you know what you're getting

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Citadel paints are pretty good quality, right about what you pay for. My only real gripe with them is that they're still in pots instead of droppers, and tend to dry out fairly well. That said, I love the wide line of colors since I don't want to rely on my mixing skills to get my army fielded. A good, solid, LIGHTER grey paint.

Chunky light Grey

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

This one came very chunky. I had to put 2 mixing balls in and shake it well by hand and then use a paint mixer. It came out ok eventually.
