It's a good texture
This is one of the few Citadel products that I prefer over Vallejo. Sometimes you have to glue the dried crackle to the base, but it's no big deal. The color is irrelevant to me as I almost always paint it, but it's a good color.

Great texture if properly used
Great bases are far easier than great paint jobs. They take a little effort. I can get a cracked earth effect with this easier than crackle medium or simple sculpting. However putting it over rough sandy textures doesn't always give the nice baked mud look. It works best with an even thick single coat, a thin coat won't texture up. Because the coats need to be thick, it's not cost effective to do the whole base. I work around the model's feet, and add cheap filler like sand or turf to mix it up. Extra detail bits for some characters.

Excellent texture basing
Really liked this technical paint. Left a nice texture pattern on the base, which is what I had purchased it for. Highly recommend.

Works great
Doesn't need as much fiddling as other crackle paints like Mordant Earth
