Exactly what it should be
Great for thinning contrast paints - it does what it says on the pot and it's great at it.

Must-have for using contrast paints
Many contrast paints are pretty thick right out of the pot, and I’d be wary about just slathering them on a model as-is. The medium allows painters to dial-in the amount of pigment, thickness, and viscosity. So, for example, one could use Aggaros dunes straight from the pot for a ground texture, a thinned coat over a white base for a piece of parchment, and a thinned coat over a light green base for rotting flesh all on the same mini. Contrast paints are a great tool to add to the painting toolkit but they do take some experimentation and finesse to maximize their potential. I highly recommend anyone who uses the citadel line of contrast paints to pick up a pot of their contrast medium as well. It increases the versatility of each paint exponentially!

Yes some of contrastcolors needs thinning
Some of the colors range needs to be thinned to get the proper application and appearance.

Paint medium
Bought it thinking I was gonna use it more to thin out the contrast paints more and really haven’t used it yet so no real review. Just another tool to come in handy if I need it for certain minis. Up to you, no opinion as far as how it has worked for me just yet.
