The Citadel Contrast paint line has been a huge time-saver for me and it gets some really good results.

For those occasions you need an orange.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Good coverage and will be fun to experiment with over different colors. Orange doesn't get much use, but this works great for hair and adding a punchy color.

Great for New Painters

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This was my very first contrast paint to use, and I genuinely like it. It's not as thin as a wash, but thin enough to for into the recesses. It's a vibrant orange that I like a lot on my Blood Bowl team, and am pleasantly surprised. Sure, traditional paints would probably look better, but this was so much quicker for me, a fairly new painter.

Painting Miniatures Made Easy

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Got into a new mini game because I thought a support weapon looked like Unicron from the Transformers movie 1987. This orange gives a great start to either show something rust worn, or go brighter and it is great for explosions. First time using contrasts, and I got a couple things to say. 1. Get something to hold onto your model for you while you paint. Since it goes on like a wash, your fingers will only get in the way. Also, until you add a coat of paint or sealer, it has a decent chance of rubbing off. 2. Paint the area or whole model in one go. Don't do two coats, it gets darker, fast. This will occur easily if you barely go over an area a second time after it dries. I ended up watching a few videos. Now I'm painting a squad, vehicle, or monster in a single night.
