Neat little tool
Some people might scoff at this tool, but I think it is really useful for spreading out textured paint or some technicals. It is also good for scooping up water effect as well, for small applications like single model bases. It is a lot easier than pushing around stuff with a toothpick. That being said, it is slightly larger than a toothpick, so might struggle in some very precise applications. The combination of the flat, flared, scraper end and the pointy end give you a lot of ways to control the material, and the length of the tool offers a few advantages over the toothpick method.

The spreader works well for the intended surface. The flexibility allow for spreading in tight spots.

Better than ruining a brush
It's really just a stick, and not as small as you'd think, so it may still have difficulty getting into small areas on a base. Its better than risking ruining one of your brushes with texture paint though.

Works perfectly for its intended purpose
I had been using some clay sculpting tools to spread the Citadel texture products onto my bases but it felt more difficult than it should have been. So I bought one of these and the added flexibility of it being practice makes it so much easier. Plus the narrow end makes it perfect for getting into some hard to reach crevices. Worth the purchase is you are going to sue a lot of citadel texture paint.
