An unimpeded period of progress - that was the promise when the Council of Civilized Planets organized an alliance to promote economic and technological growth. It worked to a degree; wealth grew amongst wealthy, giving rise to the Megacorps. Those same Megacorps soon replaced the Council of Civilized Planets, an then, using all their hastily developed technology, the Megacorps gave rise to the mutants.

Technological advancements beyond our own understanding, the mutants rose from reckless genetic experiments. Now, Megacorps are recruiting mercenaries to harvest these mutations in order to end their reign of terror...or for the lucrative genetic codes they hold.

In Galaxy Hunters, 2 to 4 players take on the role of mercenaries hired by the Megacorps to hunt and harvest the rampant mutations. Featuring an inventive pilot and mech combination system, pairing different pilots with different mechs unlocks new powers and special abilities. Using money earned for harvesting DNA from the creatures, players upgrade their mechs with new weapons and items. Galaxy Hunters seamlessly blends the excitement of crafting a unique character with the deep strategy of Eurogame-style worker placement.

Easy to learn, fun to play

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Galaxy hunters is a mid-weight worker placement game that provides fast player turns and a decent tactical puzzle to solve all wrapped up in an engaging mech vs kaiju theme. The combination of pilot and mech boards provides variety to playthroughs, while planning and building your mech loadout is fun all on it's own. The rules aren't complicated, making this very easy to learn. The variety of options for worker placement gives you plenty of options during your turn. The combat mechanic is a simple deterministic model, but surprisingly rewarding: go to location, receive damage, spend ammo to defeat the enemy. If your mech isn't strong enough to defeat an enemy, you simply can't go to that location, so there's no guesswork ahead of a fight which helps streamline player turns. Component quality is good, with an included insert to store all the components well enough to help shorten setup and teardown time. Recommended for anyone that enjoys giant mechs

Worker placement with giant robots and monsters!

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Galaxy Hunters is a great combination of euro style game play with a mecha theme that you don't see very often. Great mechanics, great art and very easy to pick up and play.
