ISS Vanguard is a 1 to 4 player co-operative board game that offers countless adventures on vivid alien worlds and distant star systems.
Players control four Sections (Security, Recon, Science, and Engineering) onboard ISS Vanguard - the first ship to traverse deep space on a mission to save humanity. Gameplay is divided into two main parts: planetary exploration, where players land on colorful boards that represent alien worlds, and ship management, where players use the Ship Book to upgrade ISS Vanguard, recruit new Crewmembers, conduct research, produce new equipment or landers, and more.
You can experience this game either as a replayable, long, cooperative campaign with epic stories, dynamic gameplay, and difficult choices - or as single Operations: standalone missions that take a single gaming session.
What will you do for the sake of your mission's success? What role will your ship play in the galaxy? Can you solve the mystery of the eons-old starmap embedded in human DNA?

Got hooked
I started playing to learn the rules but couldn't stop! Yeah it's usually managing poor dice rolls but it's no different than DnD.

Tedious work, but great thematic immersion
The game can feel a little tedious at times. Don't get me wrong the game is a lot of fun, very thematic, and super immersive, however there is a lot of busy work especially during the ship management phase. I'm starting to get the hang of it however be prepared to take your time and be thorough so you are not missing any of the steps when you first get started.

Wow! Amazing!
Wow! The experience of this game using only the core components is amazing! It’s everything I could have wanted in this style of game! Such interesting challenges! I’m constantly surprised by the number of decisions I can make! I really get invested in my crew!

Amazing Game
My girlfriend and I have fallen in love whit this game. We'll be picking up the miniatures expansion soon to add the immersion. Its been a blast exploring the galaxy with her. I'm going to give the game a try solo as well as I think it'll be just as much fun 1-player

Strong Campaign Story Game
Initial plays are very positive. Gameplay is straightforward and fairly basic, but the sense of story, increasing crew, dice, and ship abilities, propel interest forward. Eagerly awaiting the time to play more. Don't know if there will be a compelling reason to play through the campaign multiple times, but first plays leave me wanting to keep playing.

Excellent Production
This game is a very high quality production. Everything looks excellent, due to the length of the game I have not played it much but am loving what I see so far.

ISS Vanguard
Interesting plot, beautiful design, thoughtful gameplay. It goes well both for two and for four. An incredible journey that you don't want to end.
