A trick-taking game for the whole family - and some friends! Sea Change can be played from 1 to 8 players in teams or for themselves! Win each round by collecting cards with positive points, and avoiding those with negative points. Trigger a "Sea Change" by matching the number on the last card played and the trump suit changes mid-trick. At the end of the round the 0 of trump is worth 5 bonus points, while all other 0s are worthless. With an easily scalable deck, players are dealt a hand of ten cards and must contribute one to each trick. Play follows the standard trick taking formula, but the addition of positive and negative point values, and the ability to "Sea Change" means that no hand is a dud, and players will be engaged from start to finish.

Sea Change is Worthy of Praise
To be frank, while I had heard some excellent things about Sea Change, I was concerned that it was being overhyped. But as an avid fan of trick taking games, and given its very reasonable price, I decided to take a chance. After playing it a number of times now at a variety of player counts - from solo to six players - I can say that it truly deserves the high praise it has been receiving! The addition of the 'sea change' feature - where you can switch trump suits by matching the previous rank played - really does add a refreshing element to game play. But most importantly, it scales really well. I'd have to say the solo version might just be my favorite way of playing. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Sea Change, especially for those who like trick taking games.

A little card game with an important message.
This a little card game that you can actually play solo, and it goes up to like 8 players. It has beautiful artwork. And it also has an important message, we need to keep our ocean clean.
