Unique deck builder with a fun theme
This is a fun little deck building game with a bit of a base (Fort) progression and resource managment. The theme is great and easy to jump into making you feel like a kid again. What makes it different from many others is the restriction on the cards you don't play. They become unprotected and can be recuited by other players (if you don't want to play with them, they go to someone else's yard). This can make difficult choices related to timing and available resources. Game plays very smooth, and appeals to a wide range of player skill levels. I would buy again and would welcome more expansions (not that the game needs it but would be nice). I know about the pets expansion but that one doesn't appeal to me.

Finally got my own copy!
I played Fort at a convention a few years ago, and finally found an excuse to add it to my collection. Such a cute theme, with brilliant art, but way deeper than it looks at first. This should be in every gamer's collection.

Underrated Gem
Not only is the gameplay fun, but the theme just absolutely works! Every part of the mechanics can be explained well with how one would be a kid trying to build a fort filled with friends toys and pizza. The art is wonderful, the components are gorgeous and the gameplay is interesting, quick and brings everyone to the table.

Great introduction of mechanics & easy to get back into
Well…we caught the Leder games bug (it’s a good thing!). I found out about Fort after buying Root (highly recommend). My partner & I loved this game. Signature Leder Games art, light-medium complexity, and various routes to victory! I saw a review on BGG that summed it up perfectly - “simple-but-complex.†This was a great way to introduce my partner to some common mechanics that I need him to understand (pool development, following, etc). After playing a few games, I was looking for a little more & the “Cats & Dogs†expansion is a perfect add-on for a little more variety! I’m also confident I can bring my pre-teen godson into the game pretty easily. If the manual leaves you with any questions…as always these days GOOGLE->Reddit & BGG are your best friend. Miniature Market has become my go-to online store for my board games when they have what I’m looking for.

Easy to learn, interesting decisions
Much better than I expected. I love heavy games and finding something that clicks for me and my 10 year old is rare. She enjoyed it and I found Fort has enough interesting decisions to keep me coming back to it.

A fun and well executed deck builder
Fort is a great deck builder! The theme is wonderfully executed and the combinations are tons of fun. My group will be playing this one for a long time!

Fun Game that needs a different title
The quality of the components is excellent. As for the gameplay, it is not as much fun as I would have hoped and the codes on the cards are not very "intuitive". It makes it more difficult to get my husband to play because there is a greater learning curve to understand what the actions are on the cards. It really does not feel like you are building a fort at all.
