It reimplements the 2003 lightning-fast card game designed by James Ernest and Tom Jolly, integrating it with this new computer vision tech.
Light Speed: Arena is a fast-paced, real-time tabletop shooter for 1-4 players that combines quick thinking with strategic tile placement. Engage in intense intergalactic battles, snap a photo with the companion app to resolve combat, and declare a winner. The expansions Glyphon and Black Hole add new factions and the ability to add one extra player each, boosting gameplay variability and strategy with fresh content and unique components.
The third expansion, Analog Downgrade, brings a retro twist to the game: it lets players enjoy the full game experience without the app, when technology fails, or when they simply want to embrace a more hands-on approach. Analog Downgrade features everything needed to manage battles manually, as faction-specific tokens, measuring tools, and even a clever cord for easy distance comparisons.
NOTE: The free Light Speed: Arena app is needed to play (unless using the Analog Downgrade expansion). It requires an internet connection.
