Artisan dragons, the smaller and magically talented versions of their larger (and destructive) cousins, are sought by shopkeepers so that they may delight customers with their flamecraft. You are a Flamekeeper, skilled in the art of conversing with dragons, placing them in their ideal home and using enchantments to entice them to produce wondrous things. Your reputation will grow as you aid the dragons and shopkeepers, and the Flamekeeper with the most reputation will be known as the Master of Flamecraft.

In Flamecraft, 1-5 players take on the role of Flamekeepers, gathering items, placing dragons and casting enchantments to enhance the shops of the town. Dragons are specialized (bread, meat, iron, crystal, plant and potion) and the Flamekeepers know which shops are the best home for each.

Visit a shop to gain items and a favor from one of the dragons there. Gathered items can be used to enchant a shop, gaining reputation and the favors of all the dragons in the shop. If you are fortunate enough to attract fancy dragons then you will have opportunities to secure even more reputation.

Flamecraft is a fantasy game of city building, worker placement, and hand management.

Cute worker placement game

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

This is a fun, simple, worker-placement game that I bought for my wife. I would recommend it to people who like lighter and more approachable games that allow you to be as strategic as you like. This is a three out of five for me, but my wife would definitely give it a higher score. She’s a big fan!

HOT game! (pun intended)

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Simple worker placement game with very cute pieces. The look alone may be enough to get a non-gamer to give it a try. Not too in depth, but enough strategy and decisions to keep you entertained.

Great Game, fun with friends!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Ive only gotten to play this a few times with some friends, but it was a lot of fun! The art is gorgeous, the game seems a lot more complicated than it actually is, once you get started its so easy to just keep movingA

Great for families

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I was worried that the game might be too convoluted, however, it is filled with character and of course, dragons, which happen to be the best thing for my daughters, I will recommend this for families.

Adorable on Steriods

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is one of the cutest board games ever. The artwork is reason alone to buy, but the gameplay is easy to pick up and fun for the whole family. I had bought the game for myself and came back to buy two more for friends for the holidays.

Super Cute and Easy to Play

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The artwork is adorable but even without that, the game is excellent. It’s a great introductory game to other worker placement games. My husband and I are excited to teach our oldest the game because we think she will love it and can understand all aspects of the game despite being 8.

Fun, thinky and punny.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

One of the best mid weight worker placement games around. The theme and art are fantastic. Gameplay is smooth and scales well for different player counts. My only criticism is the space it takes up. Bit of a table hog, but doesn't detract from how enjoyable this game is.

Cute

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

A really cute game. My playgroup can be between lights, meds, and heavies. This is a light game. Easy to learn. When I saw it available again, I grabbed a copy. What the reviewers will tell you, depends on what YOU like to play and what THEY like to play. Some say it's fun/cute/enjoyable, and others will say it's bland, boring, and without strategy. It all depends on you. The art is super-cute. Strategy is pretty well done for a 10+ year old. My only complaint: the rollpad is long, and you have to place shops on BOTH sides of them. So reading things upside down can annoy me. But they give you enough 'player guide' cards that explain what each icon (dragon card) does. So you're never lost on trying to read upside/down, just look at the card. Overall, it's a light easy after-dinner type of game. And it can run long, our 3-player run for a first game (experienced players) lasted us about 2-hours.
