Great game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

A faithful adaptation of the video game that feels like the original experience. Plenty of content in the box to be worth the price.

Excellent Value

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I love the art is this game more than any other game I own. And the 10 scenarios in the base box give a large amount of content as well as replayability in the infinite mode. Such a great value!

The quality of the box and components was just not quite what I would have hoped. The box is held together on one edge corner just by the paper wrapping the box. It's bound to rip open one of these times. It's also too big. They provided cardboard stands to fill the empty space, but they could have made the box a couple of inches shorter. The plastic insert almost holds the components when bagged, but there are not finger holes to grab the boards out of the side pocket. The map boards are warped. There are a lot of attack tiles, so far way more than we've needed. The map, or at least the first map is very short and mobs overrun it quickly if not eliminated each round. We've not made it past the first one, primarily because the portals destroy the towers when they attack them, but the towers are the only things that can attack portals and you lose immediately if they get through. The towers must be upgraded multiple times to hit the portal, which requires skipping activation (or not using them). It's a little too blunt, without any chance to back up and catch up if you miss. I'm a fan of Kingdom Rush, but I grimace a little inside when asked to pull out the board game. I am hopeful that once we get past the introduction and get some more powers and longer maps that it will be better.
