Kung Fu Panda: The Board Game

The theme is fun as expected. Its pretty short so kids or grandkids with short attention spans will love it.

I originally backed the Kickstarter campaign for this game, and while the game is okay I couldn't resist getting a second copy during a major sale, just to have additional miniatures. I'm planning on using miniatures from both sets in other games (RPGs, Heroquest, etc.).

I bought this 100% just for the minis, and I am not disappointed. The detail is nice and the poses are awesome. Looking forward to painting these and seeing if the game is as solid as the miniatures!

Got game for nephew- some explained this game to be a simple “dungeon crawler”. So I was expecting something like that, which would have been fine. Many reviews left out that this it is one of those “Chuck dice really fast to beat sand timer games”. Throwing dice against racing a sand timer wasn’t fun for anyone for even a minute. This does not work at all, really a total no go .Frustrating/ not fun. Also there is a “claw” mark on each die a (you take a hit pip mechanism) that causes you to loose hit points and enemies to spawn. There is a limited number of enemies you can spawn and guess what- you will always hit the max- this game is BEYOND BROKEN. Non-strategy, not fun ever, and every scenario is pointlessly the same- meaning there is a 3 minute timer and you are ready to quit after 1 minute. The “fun” part is just fiddley fiddling, which is just annoying work. I paid $6 on sale, and regret it my purchase. Had I paid more or this was Amazon I would have returned it. I love MM, but not this game. I expected very little, and had low expectations with hopes that there might be some redeemable aspect to this game just for kids to have a little fun. I cannot imagine anyone at any age especially kids playing this game.

Lots of hectic and fun situations depending on the group. Cooperate with your team to complete the mission. Good with kids.
