The '90s are over. And the dream of dinosaur parks was interrupted after waves of class action lawsuits pushed parks like Dinosaur Island into foreclosure. But our collective memory is short, and now the world is ready for a new set of upstart entrepreneurs. These companies are eager to bring dinosaurs back to the world once again. It's up to you, our new park leaders, to create a world so toxically fun and enticing, the entire world will line up to get inside.

Welcome to Dinosaur World... a park set on an archipelago of stunning islands. Directors must arrange them in the best path for your spiffy, new park jeeps to plunder the depths of fun. Create brand new dinosaurs from DNA slices, visit thrilling new attractions, and enjoy zooming around this zany world.

A world of dinosaurs

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Dinosaur world is a nice worker placement game where the different workers have different abilities, so you have to choose which ones you get wisely! The decision making between which workers, which tiles, and which dna dice is so intertwined that sometimes you’re going to want to get less points in a round just so you can go first next time! It’s got worker placement, tile placement, dice drafting and more! sometimes you need to drive your jeep around to place some of your workers, that definitely adds a little something to the game! You almost feel like you would be able to create “Blue” yourself! Hey, if you know, you know! If you liked Dinosaur Island, get ready for round two! And if you didn’t, prepare yourself for a whole new experience!

Awesome game

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I owned Dinosaur Island and I decided to give Dinosaur World a try. I think this is a much better game, simpler, more dynamic and fun. I liked Dinosaur Island but I think this is way better.

It's very good, but is it for you?

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is THE game that earned its spot on my shelf for Dinosaur Themed game. A very nice worker placement/ action selection game. Easy to Teach. Pretty board presence. Cute DinoMeeples and Jeeples. Simple yet offers a lot of crunchy decisions to be made. Random Objectives give direction to players and add replayability to the game. Highly recommended if you want a Dino Themed game.

Not what I was expecting.

Average rating of 1 out of 5 stars

Dinosaur World was a game that I did q bit of video watching on before I bought it. I had coerced my friends into at least accepting they were going to play it with me when I picked it up. When it came in, i was over the moon. Finally, a chance to play out my own dino related park shenanigans and watch the death count rise. That was not the case. The game is a clockwork mess of mechanics that seems to work against every bit of fun there could be. So many literal moving parts that at times, it was like it WANTED to be pushed away from the player and have its own space. The built in boredom mechanic for forcing a player to constantly keep track of detracts from the games own fun in such a manner I'm surprised it made it to production. Which speaking to that, while most of the pieces had a good quality and print to them, its easily apparent that there was little to no proofing done before it went to print. There are icon errors and wordings on some material that is contradictory to what's in the manual. Overall, I wanted so much and got nothing but a need for more token storage, slowest gameplay I've experienced in a while and frankly, a game that should have some thrill and dynamic action is little more than literal bean counting 101 with claws thrown in.

Better than the original

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I’m a sucker for Dino games and this series the best. This takes away some of the annoying parts of the first game like two worker placement phases and adds a new tour phase. Love it.

This game is incredible, it is quickly becoming one of my favorites in my collection. The components are very nice and the bang for your buck is amazing, we have games that cost twice as much that have way less in the box. As far as gameplay goes, the game moves pretty quickly despite the turns gradually taking longer as you gain more resources and attractions (classic worker placement). However, the ability to do a lot of actions simultaneously (i.e., not in turn order), helps to speed things up. I would absolutely recommend this game, even to folks that didn't grow up loving dinosaurs like we did.

This game feels like you are building an actual dinosaur park. The tiles are large and make for great table presence.

A little clunky, but I love it!!

I LOVE Dino Island and was so happy to see Dino World :) very happy with Dino World!! It’s a LITTLE clunky to keep track of everything (boredom tokens, death tokens, etc). Love it tho!
