Fight for Glory!

Intense battles call for intense monsters! Inside Monster Core, you'll find over 400 creatures, including fantasy classics like elves, ogres, and all-new dragons; wild animals from giant ants to ferocious wolves; and unique monsters that threaten the world of Pathfinder, like sinspawn and noxious needlers. These creatures cover all levels of play, from the slow and mindless zombie shambler to the ultrapowerful demonic Treerazer!

This collection is an ideal resource for Game Masters planning their next battles and player characters looking for monstrous allies to summon.

The perfect finisher to the CORE series, core books.

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

The creativity and science that goes into a book like this is immense and Paizo is an industry leader for quality and interesting and fun ideas. There's a lot of good stuff in this book and is the essential compliment to the CORE. The only thing I don't like is that the genre in general tends to embrace real world occult ideas. This book is no exception. I don't think these things belong in a game and I don't use them. I never have and I've been running games for over 35 years. My players have never mentioned missing it. it is my STRONG belief it is not needed. I will mention that the occult leanings is a very small percentage of the overall content, but to me, it stands out because of my beliefs. I continue to play these games because TTRPG's are fantastic hobby for creativity and are just great fun and they bring people together. Maybe I shouldn't even own these things. I don't know. Instead, I filter the small amount of these occult leanings I've mentioned and use the fictional and even have a blast making my own monsters using the rules from the game. So with all this in mind, I give this moderately flawed, but overall remarkable, beautiful book 4 stars
