Space Oddity

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

One of the most original pre-painted miniatures, the Clockwork Reliquary is a masterpiece of steampunk strangeness. Full of wonderful ornament, this bright golden coffin on three legs and four arms still seems so real and "alive", you can almost hear the hissing and squeaking of the parts, as it lumbers along with a disturbing gait. I won't mention all the wonderful details as it would clutter the review, let's just say that the execution, in both inspiration and quality, leaves nothing to be desired. But what do you do with it? Frankly, it's too strange for a proxy of the most common golems. To speak the truth, this is a mini that won't see too much table time. But if you need a mechanical boss creature, any kind of "center of the system", it will be great! It really begs to be used as a center piece in an encounter, the dark heart of some clockwork hell. Or you can just have the mini first, and then build an encounter or a full adventure around it. This is one of the rare instances when such "reverse engineering" of a mini is rightfully deserved!
