Very fun! But long setup
Fun and furious, with lots of swearing! A great game for non gamers and gamers alike. Setup is a little long for such a short game, but, in my opinion worth it. Also the manual sucks. Not many games like this… real time cooperative, with a theme people can get behind.

this game is a lot of fun. it's pretty intense. you have sand timers for each action you take and you set a countdown timer for each round. you grow your business over the course of the campaign and each stage introduces a new element. the only negative thing i can say about it is the instruction book has a few spelling errors

Overcooked the boardgame
Overcooked on PS4 has been a staple for my family for a long time. This game is like a better and tabletop version of it. My copy is getting worn out very quickly.

It's okay.
It has reasonable production value and it has nice bits. The gameplay is okay. Ultimately I don't find it compelling enough to play often, but won't be getting rid of it.

This is my favorite game at the moment, painful for all the right reasons!
I played edition 1 a while back and it stuck with me. Then I heard 2nd edition was released and oh boy, I ran to preorder it. The campaign progression is a great way to guide new players until they can get a sense of the true chaos, and it's always fun and filled with good stress, a great sense of urgency and the most cooperative ambience I've ever seen. No player is hoarding, no player is too good to wash dishes. Everyone plays a part and plays as a team. 10/10 would play this every day.

Starts easy but gets hectic (and fun)
First couple scenarios are very simple but this game shows the tension that can be made after a handful of plays when you add in more elements. Super quick, forces communication. The spice bag is made super small to make it hard to grab the spice you need in a rush. Very fun family game, the entire family enjoys it!

Enjoy a 4 minute yelling match!
Kitchen Rush captures very nicely the experience of working in food service. If your gaming group likes 1) cooperative games, 2) games that are super quick to play multiple rounds of, and 3) good-naturedly yelling at each other, Kitchen Rush is the game for you! Play proceeds in real-time, with each round lasting 4 minutes. Each player has two sand timers that they use, essentially, as a worker-placement meeple. Each time you place a timer, you must finish taking that action before placing your other timer, and must wait for a timer to run out before picking it up and moving elsewhere. This often leads to situations where you'll slam both your timers down on actions that don't take long to accomplish, and get a nice period of 15 - 20 seconds where you look at the rest of the board and realize what you're doing is completely unhelpful to everything else that is going on. Pure chaos that you have to somehow wrangle into a positive score by the end of two 4-minute rounds. One of the best parts about this revised edition of Kitchen Rush is that it has an 8-scenario learning campaign to teach you the whole game. Very necessary because the actual full game would be a bit much to teach all at once. It means that you have a perfect way to onboard new players! I really wish more games were able to facilitate this kind of structured learning process.

The best version and a worthy upgrade
Essentially Overcooked in a box! The first version was great, this version is better. I’ll be giving away or selling my old version because this is how it should have looked on the first go around. So pretty. The game teaches you new things as you progress as opposed to throwing everything at you up front. The board/restaurant “levels upâ€Â. Every component here is better than the first version while keeping the core gameplay the same. There are few real time and cooking games as themes, this might be the only one that does both and probably does it the best of both as well.
