Interesting twist on the Machi Koro and Space Base formula. I thought i would love the slightly added complexity of splitting up your dice to choose a card to improve your farm and then using the new combination of pips to activate a field, but I found that the game introduces a ton of AP due to this mechanism. I love the way you can mitigate your dice rolls with the sacks (both for card selection and field activation), but the added downtime the game gives you due to the dice mechanic might backfire a bit too much for my liking. Makes what should be a 45 minute experience run a bit too long and overstay its welcome.

This a light game that has a lot going for casual gamers. The base game is easily learned and taught making it accessible. The extra modules can add tricky twists for gamers with more complex tastes.

Yes, this game looks like a fun, little family style game....and it is. But, it is also So Much More. Easy to learn and play, continuous interaction between all players, a touch of planning and luck, and a super cute package. Fantastic game for hardcore gamers who need a quick fix and easy enough to learn for a beginner to enjoy.

Farm Shop is similar to Machi Koro, but adds the dice manipulation of Space Base. My girlfriend loved it.

Excellent game. Great balance of strategy and luck. Highly replayable. With the included optional modules it becomes a mid-weight Euro board game.
