Nerdy enough for the whole family

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This game is nerdy enough to keep my board-game-loving husband entertained but easy enough for my 6-year-old daughter to play (with some help). It’s fun for the whole family.

Wonderful family adventure.

Great family game. Exciting and easy to get into. My 11 year old had a blast and keeps asking to play again. Highly recommended for families.

Art is only point of contention for fans

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

It's a kids game that adults can still get some fun out of playing with their children. Gameplay fixes a lot of the issues with the original (higher bar these days). Only issue I have personally is the huge departure in art style, wish it was a little more true to the inspiration material.

It's good...theres a few key things (pun intended) missing from the orginal BUT they do add to the game with the adventure book that kept me and the GF pleased with the wait. Theres also extremely funny flavor texts on just about every card! I will be busting it out again and again when we just want to play a simple roll and move game. It may not be exactly how it was BUT it's definitely a fun fresh take on the orginal.

Excited

I was so excited when I saw they were remaking this game. It was the first hobby board game I ever got as a child and getting to play it again in an updated and fresh way is awesome!

Exceptional Family Game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Key to the Kingdom quickly became our go-to family game. The concept of the game is simple and understandable, each turn involves decisions and the decisions are meaningful and impactful. There is a sense of exploration and joy in the silly events and adventures. Most turns are relatively fast-paced without being rushed. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing games with their kids. Ours are ages 5-9 and all of them thoroughly love this.
