2,000 years ago, the Roman Empire ruled the lands around the Mediterranean Sea. With peace at the borders, harmony inside the provinces, uniform law, and a common currency, the economy thrived and gave rise to mighty Roman dynasties as they expanded throughout the numerous cities. Guide one of these dynasties and send colonists to the remote realms of the Empire; develop your trade network; and appease the ancient gods for their favor - all to gain the chance to emerge victorious!
Concordia is a peaceful strategy game of economic development in Roman times for 2 to 5 players age 13 and up. Instead of luck of dice or cards, players must rely on their strategic abilities. Be sure to watch your rivals to determine which goals they are pursuing and where you can outpace them!

Deceptively Good
I once made the mistake of selling Concordia away, and I regretted it so much I rebought it. The game can be a bit of a tough sell for new players in my experience, but once you get them to give it a shot it is SO GOOD.

So many choices!
The instructions for Concordia are so simple…action cards are selected and played one at a time, but the outcomes of your decisions vary immensely based on the order in which you play those cards. You accumulate value points along the way, but it’s not clear until the end how you did. I really love the simplicity and elegance.

Easy to learn and just enough depth.
Great game. Easy to learn the rules, and yet complex enough to get your brain working.

Excellent
Excellent little strategy game. Super easy to learn/teach which is great for how internally complex it is. Really recommend for anyone trying to get a significant other or friends into games beyond C***n

Concordia is a great game. I love these speil des jahres games because they always create variety from each other. This is no exception.

Great game
This game is very easy to teach new people with simple rules yet tons of variability from game to game and the different strategies that can be used. Super fast and easy setup and take down. Your choices can benefit other players so it's a nice challenge to think opportunity costs and what is the best choice to help you win.

One of the best Euros out there!
Concordia is an amazing game that I got almost by chance, the rules are simple, but the strategy level is high and requires careful balancing. Since the mechanics are on the lighter side of the Euros I play, I've found it is perfect to involve new players while it will not shun those wanthing something deeper. In my top 10.
