G.I. JOE RPG: Core Rulebook

This is one of the finest RPG books I've seen in a long time. It's a true nostalgia and a lot of fun for new players. The system takes a little bit to get used to but it is fun once you get the hang of it. Beautiful artwork, great rules, and a fun system.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the character generation in the G.I.Joe and Transformers RPGs. Both games books have beautiful art and language to immerse yourself (and characters) into their respective settings. Both are very well presented for fans young and old.

Excited to battle against C.O.B.R.A. as I finish reading the core rulebook. The system seems fun and dynamic, while also being familiar to those who have rolled d20s before.

I am an RPG'er of 40 years of experience and a Joe fan. This core book is worth it alone for lore and how to develop your very own GI JOE. Very much worth the purchase!

Amazing game

Captures the feel of the old cartoon. If you are a kid of the 80s then the only thing missing is the PSA at the end

Disclaimer: I haven't had a chance to run this game yet. But... I do like everything I've read so far. I think it blends just enough grit with the Saturday Morning Cartoon flair to make this enjoyable. It isn't too crunchy of a system, so you can quickly walk through the three basic sources of your soldier's life xp to get to the table and start knocking out some Cobras. Worth a shot, looking forward to their take on Transformers.

Game mechanics are easy to understand, and artwork is great

I haven't gotten to actually run this RPG yet but it looks promising, character creation is a bit complex but fun, the artwork is amazing and the book is massive, my only complaint would be that you can only fit so much in one book and the number of Cobra forces is a bit limited, so I'm hoping they get their own dedicated book in the future. I look forward to the first module.

I purchased the item as I have been a fan of GIJOE since 1982. The last few years have been amazing, with so many different books covering so many aspects of a Real American Hero. I probably won't play the game, more of using it as a reference manual to help create the bios for my own characters. I hope future modules dive deeper into the Dreadnoks, the Oktober Guard, Red Shadows, and the rest of the GIJOE universe. More artwork and military *jobs* to chose from would be another asset.
