Maximum Apocalypse is a cooperative, rogue-like adventure game set amidst the backdrop of four apocalyptic scenarios. As you explore the post-apocalyptic world, one to six survivors work together to complete mission objectives. On each turn, a player can use up to four actions to explore the map, play cards, equip weapons, scavenge for resources, draw cards, or battle roaming monsters. Picking a unique survivor class within the group, players must plan their strategy while leaning on their characters strengths in order to defeat monsters and avoid starvation.

Thrilling Adventure in About an Hour
With the variety of missions, enemies, and characters, this game packs a big punch in a relatively small package. You'll explore the map; flipping tiles which generally have an effect (some good, some bad). You search for useful or necessary items such as food, fuel, and ammo while fending off enemies that pop up on the map. In addition to dealing with the enemies, you have to fend off hunger before it begins to chip away at your vitality. Each character has their own unique deck of cards containing actions and items unique to them. For example, the Firemen has his Trusty Axe, while the Hunter has her crossbow and flaming arrows. The game plays in 60-90 minutes and the rules are straightforward and easy to learn. Half way through your first play, you'll barely need to reference the rulebook. I backed this game on Kickstarter and am glad I did. Terrific game!
