Maximum Apocalypse: Legendary Edition is a revamped version of the popular survivor game by Rock Manor Games. Fans old and new will fall in love with the new survivor miniatures and custom Game Trayz storage trays. The legendary edition collects the original game and all the existing expansions (Gothic Horrors, Kaiju Rising, and Jurassic Perils) along with the new Bugpocalypse expansion into one epic box!
Maximum Apocalypse is a cooperative roguelike adventure game set amid the backdrop of 4 apocalyptic scenarios. As you explore the post-apocalyptic world, one to six survivors work together to complete mission objectives. On each turn, a player can use up to four actions to explore the map, play cards, equip weapons, scavenge for resources, draw cards or battle roaming monsters. Picking a unique survivor class within the group, players must plan their strategy while leaning on their character's strengths in order to defeat monsters and avoid starvation. For example, the Fireman is deadly up close with his ax; meanwhile the stealthy Hunter is great at scouting the map and avoiding traps - but roaming monsters are gathering quickly, and time is running out. Can you survive the apocalypse?

Beautiful Big Box with Many Components
I love the content, the amount of content you get in this box should keep you busy for a very long time. Considering how many expansions there are and how many you get in this box, you probably won't have to buy any expansions for a very long time. Best of all you get the creepy clowns and the apocalyptic monster deck. The minis are beautiful and you get 11. The components are great, and I love having wooden components for ammo and gas. The box is huge however, you're going to have a hard time moving this game around, and one thing I don't like about the game is having to setup item decks and monster decks, it's a lot of work to set up and tear down, but if you're going to play it more than once, it's going to be a fun experience. The dice rolls aren't so bad, especially because you can always use a character card to help you manipulate the dice rolls or mitigate damage. It's a shame you can't streamline set up but the game is fun and you won't regret the amount of content you get. Perhaps the Gothic Terror monster deck will be your favorite one but everyone is different.
