Dice Throne: Season 2 - Cursed Pirate vs Artificer

This was the third Dice Throne character set I ordered from Miniature Market, and for the third time, I was wowed by their speed and quality of delivery. For all the places I've looked for Dice Throne characters, Mini Market has consistently been the cheapest, delivered the quickest, and delivered without incidents or missing pieces. I look forward to finishing the rest of my Dice Throne collection, and I plan to do so through Mini Market!

Loved both of these characters. Very unique game play for both. Love playing with the boys and balancing the pirates curse.

As weird as the Artificer looks, he instantly became one of my favorite Dice Throne heroes. He's ranked as a 6-difficulty, but he feels easier than that to me. Build his bots, then attack with them. He has many fun and interesting abilities. Like every other hero, he has a unique approach to the game. And while he might require a bit more thinking than some other characters, he's enjoyable to use. Cursed Pirate has lots going on, and I think is probably more complicated to use than the Artificer, even though she's ranked as a 4-difficulty. She requires some knowledge of your opponent's abilities and pacing so that you can try to time out your flip from the human side to the cursed pirate side (more powerful, but deals self-damage). She also has unique mechanics that make her fun to play. I wouldn't start a new player with this set, but after one play with a simpler set, it's not too hard to play either of these heroes.

If you like a bit of luck chucking dice than this is a game for you. Its beautifully display and good components. Game okay is soil and runs is as well written as it can.

Very addictive game that you can enjoy with the family. Quick to pick up for the casual person and enough strategy to master for the die hard board gamer.

Two very unique characters, fun to master.

If you are new to Dice Throne take the character difficulty seriously. I would not suggest this box as your first, due to the difficulty of the Artificer. He is a great character, but requires a very good understanding of the game to play well.

We’re just getting into Dice Throne and the available characters. It’s a very fun game that leans a little more into luck than strategy. The characters so far have all been very well balanced and fun to play. It also has some really great component quality and the organization is top notch. I definitely recommend it though would warn not to expect grand strategy and tactics. I find that to be a strength as it balances the playing field between more and less experienced gamers. It is simple, exciting, fun. Get any character pack which looks interesting to you but also go to the Dice Throne website to read on what each one offers.
