The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Cave trolls
These are fine figurines - a bit larger than most medium/regular humanoids, but not so large as many other large figurines. They are a fairly formless blob of a mold job, which gives me freedom to improvise the paint and it makes be simple painting. But they are a better dollar-value as monster fodder than they are sculpts of art.

great mini
fast shipping great quality especially when you take the price point into consideration. holds primer just as well as plastic. painted mine blueish pale. i dremill the base off and glue the model onto a standard base, this makes it a little easier to have a more scenic base. if your thinking about picking up some models from the range spend 10 or so bucks on them and you wont be disappointed when you see them in person!

"They've brought a cave troll with them..."
The figure looks fantastic painted up. Lots of detail for highlighting techniques. He's a big figure compared to the heroes with a menacing pose looking like he's about to swipe someone. Price is also very good, you can afford to through several at your party of adventurers.

Bones at their best
A good example of how well Reaper Bones work for some types. No loss of detail at all and cheap enough to buy plenty. Not as large as some other trolls though. Smaller than some of Reaper's ogres in fact.
