The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Love Reaper figures

Okay figure, good price.
It's sometimes hard to write reviews for Reaper miniatures. They're cheap as chips, so even if they end up not being the best around it's hard not to recommend them as being worth what you paid.

Fierce
It's hard to tell from this photo but the curving two-handed sword looks great behind the mini. Unlike the other review, mine stands fine. Very easy to paint as everything is accessible; no super cramped areas too narrow to get a brush into.

Great figure with poor balance
I have a love hate relationship with this miniature. The figure itself is great. The post is dynamic and imposing. The armor and weapon are unique and exciting. Unfortunately the balance of the miniature is all wrong and it doesn't stand on it's own very well. It's just too back heavy and topples over toward the sword. I make an effort to dip my miniatures in boiling water to straighten out any warping that may have occurred during the mold extraction process but this figure doesn't want to stand no matter what I do. I've decided to remove the figure from it's base and pin it to a standard round base. It really is a great piece of sculpture, but keep in mind that you might have trouble using the figure if it's constantly toppling over.
