The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Not white
Cheap, poor detail, I wanted it as shown to have the white and test painting over it. Got a grey version.

Good selection of familiars
Well sculpted and inexpensive, perfect to represent a familiar or small animal during play.

Wonderful set of very small animals
Excellent set if you have or are a druid or ranger. As DM this set gives me a lot of options and flavor as well. Good variety although I do wish there was a dog or something in place of the "fey/faerie" creature as that won't really come into play for my game too much. I bought an extra set of these to splice the hawk wings with the cat to make a tressym (flying cat). My player with a tressym pet loved it! As is pretty typical of minis and especially very small minis, these do not stand up well on their own. I recommend putting them on a base.
