The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Decent model
I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't come with a base, but I had plenty on hand to use. The detail is decent for the price, but the model ships unprimed.

Production problems keep this from being a great miniature
This miniature has a lot of potential but poor production quality keeps it from being a winner. As you can see in the photos, there is a pretty large gap in the neck of the figure. The figure's left bicep is also problematic due to a poor alignment of the pieces during manufacturing. This is also apparent in the photo. I was able to (mostly) fix these issues with some green stuff but it still doesn't look quite right. I think the figure is really great in concept and I especially enjoy the oversized blade in his right hand, but the execution is lacking if you're trying to go for a high quality finished paint job.
