Dark Heaven Legends is the premier 25mm Heroic Scale fantasy line for miniature painters, roleplayers and wargamers. The Dark Heaven line has produced over 1,300 fantasy miniatures designed and crafted by the top miniatures sculptors in the world.

The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

A fine little devil

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I love the pose on this model. Be aware that like with most bones a bit of cleanup and work is required. It will look its best if you heat the plastic and bend it into proper shape.

Bones sucks

Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars

Though I prefer metal, I like the idea of cheaper plastic minis. However, the bones line is molded in a soft, flexible plastic. This makes it extremely difficult to trim. You cannot file it and even cutting parting lines with an xacto leaves fuzzy plastic threads behind. I found assembly to be no fun as well. If it were hard plastic, I'd like it. But it's not, so I don't.

Assembly needed

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

It's going to come in four pieces. You can already tell even in the site picture that the spear is going to need some fixing to straighten out. I felt I had to fix the tail and the right arm a bit as well, but when that's all done, I like the figure and it has good detail.
