The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Beefy (fun) guys
Three mushroom men are a little more beefy in size than I would have expected. Takes up every bit of a 25 mm base (not included). I like the trio for an encounter. The largest figure is the same figure as the Reaper Legend Mushroom King Quality matches the picture. Ready to paint.

look at these cuties
Surprising amount of detail on these guys! I much prefer this model of fungi folk to the current design of DnD's 5e Myconids.

AMAZING LITTLE GUYS!
These mushroom figures are greats. They were so fun to paint, with wonderful detail in the sculpt, they are just so cute. You get 3 figures which is great in 3 different positions and sizes. They have inspired me into so many stories in game. They are so very worth the very low cost for these wonderfully playful characters. The Reaper Miniatures are usually great at holding paint, but sometimes they have some residue from the molding process so wash them with some warm water and soap. You really do not have to prime them. The details are so clear that you can layer paint on them and still see the details from the sculpture through. They dry brush SO WELL. I am very pleased with this product and have bought a few packages.

Where Reaper Bones Shine
These mushroom men were an easy choice, coming 3 to a blister they add variety to any campaign where your characters might come across some not so friendly sentient fungus. The reaper bones line is a soft plastic and really lends itself nicely to these types of sculpts, stocky miniatures that lack any bits that would just be too bendy if less material was used. If you plan on laying on some paint just make sure you read up on where to start. This plastic polymer might throw some who are accustom to working exclusively with a resin or metals for a slight loop.

Fun models
The sculptures are slightly cartoonish, and definitely lean toward whimsy rather than dark and grim. This is not a bad thing. The Bones material is a slightly soft plastic, and the staff of the largest mushroom man will likely need to be dipped into hot water and reshaped before painting. This is a group of very unique sculpts for a great price and they will be fun to paint. Primer is not necessary for Bones miniatures, although thinning your first layer of paint with water may lead to a slightly blotchy coat since the plastic is slightly hydrophobic. Just block out your base colors with paint straight out of the pot or dropper bottle, let it dry, and then wash/glaze/drybrush as you wish afterward.
