The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Buff Barbarian
I painted the same mini for one of my friends. It was so much fun that I bought one for myself.

A good miniature with a couple of issues.
I don't have many barbarian miniatures and this guy looked like he'd fit the bill. However I have a few issues with the quality of miniature. He's a little bit smaller than I hoped he'd be. There is a lot of mold lines that will need to be sanded or cut off. The back has almost no muscle detail in comparison to the front and you can't really tell where the neck ends and the helmet begins. Also the arms and axe are a separate piece and do not fit on the body correctly. Overall this miniature will take some extra work to get it looking the way I want. I will need to fill cracks with sculpting putty, sand off mold lines, and use a file to bring out some detail so his back and helmet don't look like a solid slab. I have a ton of reaper miniatures which are all great, this one just isn't unfortunately.
