Dark Heaven Legends is the premier 25mm Heroic Scale fantasy line for miniature painters, roleplayers and wargamers. The Dark Heaven line has produced over 1,300 fantasy miniatures designed and crafted by the top miniatures sculptors in the world.
The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Ogre Smasher!
Really cool looking mini. Nice sculpt, fun to paint.

A little small, but nice model.
Went with this model for the look, it's a little on the small size and looks smaller than it should be on a large size base.

Nice mini -- but he needs to cut down on the halfling snacks between battles!
A nice mini! It has a traditional ogre look to him, and the details are nice without being overdone. My only possible issue is that these guys look big next to other 28mm figs -- somewhere between an ogre and hill giant. This probably isn't an issue with skirmish-level campaigns, but using a mass combat system with an ogre unit makes them seem a bit oversized.

Best ogre minis
I have searched for ogre minis that were detailed without being too expensive. These were by far the most detailed and solid minis I was able to find. I bought about nine of them and was very happy with them.
