The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Great looking piece
This is one of my favorite looking miniatures I’ve purchased so far. Was easy to paint with lots of different angles to hold. Can’t stand on its own so it needed to be glued to a base.

Decent replacement Rat Ogre
Pretty good sculpt - nice definition and texture. He's a pretty big guy, too. Great deal for the price.

Good figure, needs a other base
The figure is cool, but it is not balanced well. It is very top-heavy and therefore falls over easily. I had to glue an additional base on it to keep it upright.

Nice but bigger than expected.
Great mini at a great price, but bigger than I wanted.
