The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Looks pretty good
Looks better than the picture on the listing. Very detailed, would be great to paint. He would work well in a lot of different dioramas or tabletop games.

Needs a little more work
I admit that the piece looks awesome, but there are a few issues. Let's start with the ammo belt, it doesn't look fully done. The ammo itself isn't that clear and while it's a sci-fi inspired piece, the bullets don't look right. In fact it looks nothing like an ammo belt. The second issue I have is with the exit point on the gun. The holes really don't look right and are poorly designed. I understand that bones is cheap material, but they have done a lot better sculpting on other models and it shows that more could have been done with this one.
