The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Acceptable & underwhelming
It's listed as Bones but it's actually a shiny hard thin gray plastic. It's also only about 2x2x2 which makes it look fairly shrimpy on the battlefield. Comes in three pieces, easy to assemble or take apart, but doesn't snap together, so if you raise the dumpster lid above 90-degrees then the whole assembly just falls off. Not a great value, but if you absolutely require a small plastic dumpster, then I guess it will work in a pinch.

Great affordable infinity terrain
This is a dumpster. It won't look pretty, but it will provide good cover for your sci-fi skirmish game.
