The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

He is a bit bulky, but looks great. I need to track down a suitable Gilligan for him. A Call of Cthulu version of the old castaways.

Chronoscope Bones: Ship Captain
Makes a great sea captain's figure. The Chronoscope Bones figures are a little large next to my Pulp Figures and Copplestone metak miniatures; but not grossely so if you have thin bases for them.

Good effort by Reaper.
Reaper Figs have always been a step above. Now they are moving to soft plastic This effort should not be Ignored, the same high quality as the metal. Very happy, for now. I will fully know how I feel after its painted.
