My wife and I first spotted this game in a shop in Germany and immediately were impressed with the gorgeous artwork. Once we returned home, we just had to find it somewhere and were overjoyed to see that it was available here! Upon opening up the box, we were initially a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of pieces included, but after working our way through the introduction scenario with the training wheels on (reading the rulebook carefully :D), we were well on our way to adventure! However, after we became familiar with the mechanics, the story truly began to shine as we navigated strange waters in search of escape from the fantasy world our crew had become trapped in. We loved the variability in paths and how decisions affect the outcome of the whole campaign. Be aware that the campaigns can last quite some time, but the game is designed to be easily saved by way of a pre-made map and action log that can be filled out so the game can be put away and set up easily on another date. Our first time through took us several days over the span of two months, but we took our time with it and savored every turn :). We have now started another campaign so that we can take a completely different path to see where it leads, we have already discovered so much more! We recommend this game to anyone who loves an engaging story filled with impactful decisions.

Finally a game that promises a narrative story and delivers more than generic story paragraphs. Gameplay is engaging, a touch fiddly to manage solo with 9 characters, but the simple mechanics keep things above water

Lots of fun game mechanics, search / exploration, nice artwork, and most importantly has been enjoyable for my wife to play. Would recommend and / or buy for others, only downside is probably long term replayability, but that’s no different than a legacy game.

The game is beautifully produced, the story components are expertly written (refreshing for a boardgame), and the exploration is addictive!

If you enjoy exploration and adventure campaign style game, this game is for you. It will take you a while to wrap your brain around all of the rules, but after a few plays, the number of times you are constantly checking the rules will decrease. Overall though, great game, and I'm excited to continue to go back and start more campaigns for more exploration and adventure.

With a session or two under my belt, here are some quick facts for those contemplating a purchase of the game... You'll need more table space than you realize. The box is small, but everything needs to be spread out. The quick start, quick guide, and rulebook are great...But you will still need to watch a video or two to grasp the concept of what happens. You could probably use a d6 to eliminate some confusion with the multipurpose card deck. It's sort of a choose your own adventure type game conceptually. The game is fun, but it may take a couple videos and a couple sessions to get the hang of how things work. It's quite exciting, however, and worth putting on your wishlist!

I am not a fan of co-op games, but I am a fan of Ryan Lauket's games so I gave this a try after having my eye on it for quite some time. I'm only partly through a campaign, but it has drawn me in! There is great depth of story that keeps me engaged and not wanting to leave. The save your game feature really stands out and lets us come back to the game whenever we want.

Bought this to play with my teenagers and we all fell in love with it. We are currently about 7 hours into the campaign and it feels like we have barely scratched the surface of what there is to offer. Highly recommended if you have a gami g group or just want to play a solo campaign. Also it has 13 different endings.

I was new to RPG games so I was not sure what I was getting myself into, but this game lived up to my expectations! As a solo player, it took me about 12 hours to finish a campaign and I did not even scratch the surface of this game. The possibilities of what you can do are endless and the world to explore is massive, so you might want to block off a whole day to truly enjoy the experience. The storyline is creative and entertaining, allowing players the freedom of choosing their own path to follow!

About 20 turns in on the first game. Easy to learn with the tutorial and easy to get to the table. I've completed 3 quests but collected zero totems. Fun game. The narrative is engaging and ties together well. Decisions are quickly made and game turns fly by. Overall happy with the purchase. Will need to continue playing to determine if star rating increases or I like the game enough to buy an expansion.
