First things first these are not one coat and done paints, like Citadel contrast paints claim to be. You will need multiple coats to get adequate coverage and color saturation. But, that's why I like them. You have infinitely more control over the depth of shadows and opacity with these. The color variety is also good.

Awesome Paint to add to the collection

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I really like the Instant Paints. The Instant paints perform like Contrast paint with more control over the intensity of the colors. The paint is really thin and translucent, I found it easy to work with. It dries faster than Contrast paint, so I had to work a little more wet/faster than I'm use to early on. The QOL improvements can't be ignored, the paint comes in dropper bottles, with a metal ball inside to help you stir, and the Instant paint color chart has notes for people who are color blind. The mini in the image was primed with Wraithbone, painted with only the colors from this set (except for the metallic on the violence, Apothecary White on the hair, Snakebite on the belt, and Black Templar on shoes) and no wash in that image. I'm not a great painter, but I included the image because its hard to describe the matt finish you get from the paint. I think It looks similar to the flat colors I see in 90's comics, yet still vibrant.
