While capable of mounting offensive assaults, House Lannister's Halberdiers excel in defensive formation and positions, particularly when protecting ranged units against determined cavalry assaults. Only the most insane cavalry commander would contemplate a frontal assault against such dangerous weapons with their long reach. Even charging infantry should think twice before facing an entrenched Halberdier line. Care should be taken to shield Halberdiers from flanking maneuvers or ranged fire, but, when properly employed, nothing gets past a Halberdier's watchful eye.

Good for any tabletop game
I like these figures! I don't play aSoI&F, but they're pretty decent models that will be great to take up space on the table for your TTRPG of choice; especially since there isn't many good reach weapon models for other model lines. However, I will note that they are on the larger end for medium size from something like the Nolzur's or Wizkids line, but not distractingly so Would recommend

Well sculpted and good detail. I especially like the design choice to make the Lannister Halberdiers resemble English knights from the War of the Roses era. It's also packaged with care. None of the long thin plastic Halberds were bent or damaged. I enjoy this set very much!

Same as the big box game - great!
These are twelves halbidiers that appeared in the original boxed big game. They have three poses plus standard and command or officer type. These are still excellent sculpts and they paint up beautifully. Use a darker red on the armor and tunic and comfier ArmyPsinter Greedy Gold on the edges and armor panels. Use dark brown and black inks or Strong Tone and the result is impressive and looks great on the table. I use these gigs for other game systems too and they rank up perfectly in the unit base. Highly recommended!

I am not buying this unit to play Song of Ice and Fire but to fill in a unit of halberdiers for my fantasy miniatures game. Normally $34 I got them on special for $14 so it was a great deal.

Great models
The unit is solid for ASOIAF, but these also make great miniatures for other games. Joy to paint.
