With significant ranged combat power and the ability to maintain that range, the Dothraki Outriders are more than simple scouts. While ordinary archers are a headache for any foot troops, Dothraki Outriders are an absolute nightmare. Their ability to dance into range, loose their arrows, then escape beyond hope of retaliation gives the Dothraki commander a powerful capability to harass and destroy enemies without ever offering a retributive blow. Naturally, such a force remains vulnerable to enemy cavalry and archery, but a wise commander will use the Outrider's own speed to remain well beyond harm's reach.

Dothraki Outriders are must have for your Targeryen army. Long range archers on horseback do enormous amounts of damage. You can move them swiftly from one end of the battlefield to the other. Just what’s needed to soften up a heavily armored foe!

Great Sculpts, Fun Mechanics
You’ll get one of these units in the Targ starter set, but I find myself wanting two of them all the time! The sculpts are the same as well, but still really fun, detailed sculpts.

Dothraki Outriders
These are your primary Archers. Love them. Great Mini's for the price. Mold lines are not too bad. I recommend cleaning with a de-greaser before painting, and there are some small gaps that will need to be filled.

Nice cheap unit to bulk out Your Horde
While you get Outriders in the starter set, this unit will help you bulk out your Targaryen forces and allow you to literally ride circles around your foes. These rapidly moving troops are bow armed and lightly armored, so must be used cautiously, but their presence will force your opponent to watch their flanks and rear areas. Includes 4 figures in unique poses with the usual high level of detail.
