The Builders construct and maintain all the Night's Watch's formidable defenses, including its siege weapons. While the Scorpion is only a smaller brother to the massive ballistae mounted atop the Wall, it is nevertheless capable of hulring a sizable projectile at long range to deadly effect. It's easy to load, easy to aim, and can scythe through entire ranks of enemy troops with ease. That said, hauling the heavy construct across wild terrain is no simple matter. A Scorpion Crew left vulnerable to cavalry or missile fire will not last long on the field.
