Wonderful, Relaxing Game
I got Kohaku for my wife and she absolutely loves the game. She says: The art is beautiful and really enhances the feeling of curating a peaceful koi pond. You can play it competitively with others or relax and play by yourself. The gameplay is easy to learn. It is a good balance of strategy and luck--similar to Azul--which makes it great for players who are not looking for an intense/overly strategic experience. There are several options you can utilize for scoring so you can change your focus each time you play to try and gain the most points. The only con is that the cardboard squares feel somewhat chalky in my hands. Overall, I would highly recommend Kohaku for the art, execution of the theme, and quality simplicity.

This is our new favorite tile laying game.
My sister loves Koi fish. So I ordered this mostly for her. But my mom instantly fell in love with it also. It's just a very pretty game to look at.

I love this game! Ive played the solo mode over and over. My husband likes it a lot too and hes not a gamer. Its simple but thinky enough!
