Bakunawa rose from the sea, her ravenous scaled form rising over cities and mountains. Tearing the land in her wake, the serpent chased the moon to the zenith of the sky, its light almost caught in her fangs. But then, a flash, and there stood the goddess Haliya, sword bright and warrior mask gleaming. The two dueled, the serpent's roars echoing across the stars and Haliya's blade shining among the clouds, until a final blow banished Bakunawa to the darkest depths of the sea.
All was quiet. But the gods, Haliya most of all, knew this peace was temporary. The mortals would need to be ready to fight for their islands again, whenever that fateful time came.
The Islands of Sina Una is a new campaign setting for 5th Edition that pulls from the precolonial mythology and culture of the Philippines.
