Love it!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This game was easy to learn and the set up for each game is easy. It’s not tedious or fiddly. Each game you’re working to get the most points, but the manner in which you do it can change up between rounds. Also, after a few plays you can add time warp cards to change it up even more. It takes about 30 minutes or less so we usually play it 2-3 times in a row. It’s educational if you want it to be, but after a couple of times I stopped reading the backs of the cards and just kept going. We considered several “Trekking” games but this one had the best reviews and best ratings. Interesting thing: there’s no game board but a roll out mat instead. I worry that it will always curl up at the end. All in all it’s a blast and I wish my family would play it with me more often. (I’m undefeated so maybe that’s why 😁)

A great simple gateway game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

As someone with a wide diversity of friends with varying degrees of interesting in board games; from the casual to the more invested. This game sides more along the casual gamers. The artwork on the cards are beautiful and the rules are simple that lends itself to a game you can knock out while waiting for the pizza to arrive. The built-in optional rules do add a bit more spice to the game but overall puts this game on the more light-hearted side of gaming enthusiasts.

Fun decisions

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

My wife did not think this would be as engaging as it turned out to be. Deciding when to start a new trek, choosing to get your score bonus on your card or lengthen your trek; those decisions are very interesting and fun. Playing either way or a combination of the two has its advantages and disadvantages. It was fun to see that different play styles are competitive with each other and the game doesn’t lean on way or the other.
