Solid expansion but not the greatest.
Even that Dr. Strange is one of the greatest characters in Marvel, not so great the expansion since you can have it in the secret wars vol. 1 big expansion. The best are the Masterminds but nothing impressive.

Take your game into the Astral Plane
I'd classify this as one of the above average expansions for Legendary. Ritual Artifact and Demonic Bargain are new keywords that do have their interests, but they aren't exactly revolutionary. Astral Plane is the star here. On the face of it, having a way to fight an enemy with recruit instead of attack sounds fun, and it is, but that would leave it as just being a renamed Bribe. After you've played a few games with it you'll find other interesting applications as well. Just being able to move certain villains out of the city at key moments is huge. For me, the character choices always seem subjective, with some people hating the choices and others loving them based on what they've read in the comics. And that's fine. I do still question using the Vishanti as a hero group. Why include them instead of all of the other possibilities? I would assume it's because they want to just use characters that can exploit the keywords for the set and the other hero choices don't do that so well.

Great addition
Really fun expansion with nice use of previous mechanics and great character inclusions. Especially a better Dr. Strange.

Dr. Strange does not disappoint.
Dr. Strange is one fun game. The two new keywords - Astral Plane and Demonic Bargain - make the new schemes pop. Astral Plane especially adds a whole new dimension to the game. Literally. No spoilers, but there are interesting strategies to be discovered here that can make the magic even more magical. (Look in places like BGG forums.) 4 out of the 5 new heroes are ones I knew well, as were the two masterminds. And their powers brought each of them alive. Money well spent.
