Sauron threatens to push Middle-Earth into eternal darkness in his desire for the One ring. All hope lies on Frodo Baggins and his friends from the Shire. Your task: Bring the One Ring to Mordor, then destroy it in Mount Doom.

With each roll of the dice in Lord of the Rings: Journey to Mordor, players make decisions and try to move their hobbits as quickly as possible to get to Mount Doom. They're supported by Gandalf and the community, but also potentially blocked by orcs and persecuted by Ringwraiths. Players must be bold enough to choose the right dice symbols and shake off the Nazgul.

Great Dice Chucker

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This game is great because you get to live the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy in only a few dice chucks and minutes haha. You travel through major areas of Middle-Earth and along the way have to avoid any orcs that prevent you from moving towards Mount Doom. You're chucking dice hoping to get the correct dice faces and careful not to get dice faces that would hurt other players. Players each correspond to a color die so if that die gets a Nazgul, that corresponding player gets hurt. It's highly luck based but you can't deny how fun it is, especially with a group of friends and Lord of the Rings lovers.

Scratches that LOTR itch

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Scratches that LOTR itch without all the complexity. Easy to learn and quality components for the price.

Quick, fun, clever

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Fun, really quick game with some clever decision-making. The theme could have been almost anything, but I really like the Lord of the Rings flavor on the experience.

1st edition was better

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

This edition has nicer dice, but they don't have the advanced rules printed on each sheet like the 1st edition did. A shame. Still worth playing.
